Coaches Roster
Like most college baseball teams at the turn of the century, neither Baldwin University nor German Wallace College could afford to employ coaches for their teams. When the two schools merged in 1913, their combined resources allowed them to hire their first baseball coach, Arthur V. “Slim” Wilker.
In the 78 seasons since Coach Wilker fielded his first ball club, nine men have guided the Baldwin-Wallace College baseball program through more than 1,700 games. For 1,281 of those games, the Yellow Jackets have been led by Bob Fisher, a 1963 B-W graduate whose teams have compiled a 669–599–13 (.528) record in his 40 seasons as head coach.
