Like most small colleges at the turn of the 20th century, neither Baldwin University nor German Wallace College could afford to employ coaches for their baseball teams. When the two schools merged in 1913, their combined resources allowed them to hire their first baseball coach, Arthur V. “Slim” Wilker.
In the 91 recorded seasons since Coach Wilker fielded his first team, 10 men have guided the Baldwin Wallace University baseball program through more than 2,200 games.
