Rules of Eligibility

Season Records

To qualify for a season record in a cumulative category, a player must simply compile a higher total in that category than any other player.

To qualify for a season batting record in a calculated category, a batter must meet the Ohio Athletic Conference eligibility minimum of two at bats for every game played by his team.

To qualify for a season pitching record in a calculated category, a pitcher must meet the Ohio Athletic Conference eligibility minimum of one inning pitched for every game played by his team. A pitcher may also qualify by having a pitching appearance in 40% of those games.

To qualify for a season fielding record in a calculated category, a catcher or infielder must have two fielding chances for every game played by his team, and an outfielder must have at least one fielding chance per game.

Career Records

To qualify for a career record in a cumulative category, a player must simply compile a higher total in that category than any other player.

To qualify for a career record in a calculated category, a player must meet the following minimum career totals:

  • For a career batting record, 150 at bats
  • For a career pitching record, 75 innings pitched
  • For a career fielding record, 150 fielding chances for catchers and infielders and 75 fielding chances for outfielders
